Last night college sports fans watched the first half of the Sweet Sixteen. There is one word to sum it up….awesome!
The night started with a huge upset. Butler beat No. 1 seed Syracuse in a tight race that ended 63-59. Then West Virginia stomped Washington by 13 points. They’re now being called the tournament’s new favorite.
In the second games Kentucky beat Cornell 62-45….like we all didn’t see that coming!
Then March Madness got really interesting. This is also where my sleep deprivation comes in for today. I was up way past my bedtime because the Xavier vs Kansas State game went into double overtime! This is the first time since 1997 that a Sweet Sixteen ended in 2OT.
In the end, the Kansas State Wildcats defeated Xavier and I was happy.
If you’re like me, your brackets are way busted by now…but that’s not preventing me from enjoying the games! Can’t wait for tonight. Go DUKE!
