Raleigh Winterfest, now through February 1, 2014 at City Plaza. Each year, downtown Raleigh transforms into a winter wonderland, gathering families and friends to usher in the holiday season. The highly-anticipated Raleigh Winterfest happens from now through Feb. 1, 2014, featuring a cornucopia of seasonal festivities. This year, the outdoor ice skating rink, located at City Plaza, is open now.
Wendell Wonderland, now through December 25, 2013, Sun.-Thurs., 6-10pm; Fri.-Sat., 6-11pm at the Wendell Chamber of Commerce. This is one of the largest holiday light shows in the State, which will be held in downtown Wendell. Wendell Wonderland is open to the public and will be located in our historic downtown at 210 E. Fourth St. (corner of Hollybrook Rd. and Fourth St.) This event will come alive with an array of dancing lights and music. The Light Show is canceled if raining or snowing. Event hours are from 6-10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 6-11pm. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Apex Christmas Nativity Celebration, December 12 – 14, 2013. This is the 10th annual celebration. This three-day annual event features nativity exhibits from around the world, live music performance and a Messiah sing-in. This wonderful celebration provides an opportunity for each of us to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and find spiritual rest during the busy holiday season.
